“Often the families of our coast guard and military personnel struggle financially and we wanted to give back to the community by providing a little bit of joy and lots of smiles,” said Jeanne Scholl, Broker/Owner of EXIT Inspired Real Estate and co-founder of Operation Santa Cause Inc. “The Gold Star children have lost their soldier during conflict and so we wanted them to have a great holiday knowing that someone remembers them and the sacrifices they have endured.”
Jeanne and her team hosted a “Ride with Santa” poker run to benefit Operation Santa Cause Inc., an Orange Park-based non-profit that has been dedicated to providing toys for the children of Florida National Guard personnel and Gold Star children since 2013. The event also included a vendor fair with shopping, draws, food, and live music by the Tiffany Sweet Band.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Jeanne and her team raised $4,477.26 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match for a total donation of $8,954.52.
