At EXIT Realty, administrative support staff are held in the highest regard and are the backbone of each individual brokerage location across the continent. Steve Morris, Founder and Chairman, believed so strongly in their important contribution that he made provision in the EXIT Formula that a portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is set aside to pay bonuses to the administration staff in the offices where the transactions originate.
In addition, the company honors the best of the best every year at its Annual Convention, and this year, the Administrator of the Year Award was presented to Debra Wilcoxen of EXIT Realty Paramount in Traverse City, Michigan. Only non-licensed administration staff are eligible for consideration for the Administrator of the Year award. Input from a nominee’s Broker/Owner as well as various departments at EXIT Realty Corp. International are taken into consideration. “It was definitely a unanimous decision among all departments to select Deb Wilcoxen as our 2016 Administrator of the Year,” said Derek Stephenson, Manager, Franchise Support. “Not only does she surpass all the requirements, she has been with EXIT since 2007 and is always a pleasure to deal with.”
Holly Streit, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty Paramount, commented, “Presidential advisor and author Napoleon Hill once said, ‘It is literally true that you succeed best and quickest by helping others succeed.’ Deb Wilcoxen, then, is the picture of true success. She possesses a wealth of knowledge that is unrivaled. She is ever-learning and is always abreast of changes in the industry to ensure that we are doing all we can to be the best possible advocates for our clients. She is often a sounding board for me, and I frequently rely on her as my go-to person when changes are required, as she will make sure transitions are made in the smoothest manner possible. Deb addresses each agent and client need efficiently and precisely in an effort to bring the greatest success to the team as a whole.
“As is often the case with those working behind the scenes, Deb could have ventured out to pursue personal achievement and would likely have prospered in doing so; but much like the evening primrose flower, she understood that she could flourish just as well in the shadow of another. Though Deb truly takes pleasure in being relied upon to complete the tasks left outside the limelight, so that others may shine in the spotlight, she is a star in my book and honestly the most deserving of EXIT’s award for Administrator of the Year!”
