Bendi Toland and the team at EXIT Taylor Real Estate in Bentonville, Arkansas, brought their community together in support of Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) through the Heroes Cup REALTOR® Challenge.
The team chose SDIA because of its mission to help veterans, first responders, and their families overcome the effects of post-traumatic stress through programs that foster connection, purpose, and growth. Recognizing that social isolation is a major risk factor for suicide, the event focused on raising both awareness and funds for these life-changing programs.
EXIT Taylor Real Estate challenged local real estate offices to participate in a friendly fundraising competition, culminating in a community celebration featuring auctions, sponsors, and local support. The inaugural event laid the foundation for what the team hopes will become an annual tradition in Northwest Arkansas.
The community responded in a big way. Bendi and her team raised $9,514, and EXIT Realty Corp. International contributed an additional $2,000 through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, bringing the total donation to $11,514 for Sheep Dog Impact Assistance.
