“On April 17th our community was hit by an F3 tornado. Seventy-five homes were impacted, most of which will need to be torn down due to the severe damage. There were several personal impact stories from those in our office, including a past agent of ours and a personal friend of mine losing their family home while they were in the basement,” explains Alissa Prentice, Franchisee of EXIT Midstate Realty on why she chose to support Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin with their annual brat fry fundraiser.
The Community Foundation collects funds raised and then oversees the distribution of the funds to where they are most needed. EXIT Midstate Realty purchased the supplies and held the event in the parking lot of their office. Agents and affiliates volunteered cooking and selling food, including some baked goods.
Alissa and her team raised $2,522, and EXIT Realty Corp. International donated an additional $1,500 for a total donation of $4,022 to the Community Foundation, earmarked for the Ringle Tornado Relief to assist those in need of home repair or replacement.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds.
