Over the years, the EXIT Realty Homeward Bound annual golf outing has raised thousands of dollars for charity and the company’s 11th annual event was no exception, benefiting Broome County (New York) Habitat for Humanity.
A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. The team at EXIT Realty Homeward Bound raised funds through team registrations and sponsorships to the tune of $5,008.94, which EXIT’s head office matched for a total donation to Broome County Habitat for Humanity of $10,017.88.
“It is only through the faithful and continued charitable giving of our community that we are able to give families in Broome and Tioga Counties a hand by helping them move out of substandard housing,” said Amy Winans, Executive Director of Broome County Habitat for Humanity. “The funds from the EXIT golf outing support our new construction project where we will be breaking ground on a single-family home in the spring. The lot has been cleared and plans are set, awaiting good weather. Together we are building more than houses.”
