EXIT Landmark Realty and the Spirit of EXIT Partner to Help Those in Need in Southern Maryland

The team at EXIT Landmark Realty partnered with Lifestyles, Inc., a local non-profit committed to serving Southern Maryland, to raise funds to support the charity’s mission to meet the needs of the underserved in the local area. Lifestyle’s “Samaritan Project” is specifically dedicated to collecting and providing food and clothing for those in need in Southern Maryland.

In addition to the Samaritan Project, EXIT Landmark Realty supported Lifestyles’ “Safe Nights” program. Safe Nights provides shelter and lodging for homeless families at local hotels and area churches. Agents donated pillows, pillowcases, hygiene kits, blankets, masks, wash cloths, journals, gift cards for food and essentials, as well as  gifts for over 60 people in the program. Agents also provided hats, gloves, and slippers for the colder winter months and a couple of new outfits for each adult in the program as well as toys, gifts, and clothing for each of the children.

As a bonus, EXIT Landmark Realty partnered with Iossif (Joe) Gressis, owner of Galazios and other local restaurants to cater a steak tip dinner for the individuals and families in the Safe Night Program. Feeling like their local businesses had suffered so much they also wanted to show their support, so they hired them to cater. Joe and his staff jumped into action and put together an incredible meal for members of their community!

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. Broker/Owner, Bernadette Cole, and her team hoped to raise $10,000 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they far exceeded that goal and raised $15,435 for a total donation of $25,435 to Lifestyles, Inc.

“We are thankful for the selfless real estate agents and staff at EXIT Landmark Realty, and the members of our local community who are willing to go the extra mile to make a difference in both individuals’ and families’ lives.  We are additionally thankful for EXIT Realty Corp. International for supporting our efforts to give back and be a part of something bigger,” said Bernadette.
