Inclement weather didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the EXIT Lifestyle Realty, Brokerage team who participated in the Big Bike for Heart & Stroke Ride.
A team of riders together peddled an enormous bike through the community benefiting the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, literally stopping traffic to support this worthwhile cause. “The team was fantastic and filled with energy,” remarked Peter Boon, Coordinator, Community Fundraising, Central Ontario for the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. The associates of EXIT Lifestyle Realty, Brokerage reached out to their friends, family and clients to solicit sponsorship donations, and the brokerage held a pizza fundraising lunch. Together they raised $1,653.50 which EXIT Realty Corp. International was proud to match for a total donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada of $3,307.00.
“The funds raised by our brokerage will be used towards research and the treatment of heart disease and stroke,” said Chantal Traversy, sales representative and the coordinator of the EXIT Realty Big Bike team. “Heart & Stroke has a number of initiatives including leadership programs and healthy living education.
