Kirk Groombridge, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty CK Elite, Brokerage in Chatham, Ontario started a fundraising initiative to support NeighbourLink Chatham-Kent. NeighbourLink is a network of churches that provide services to those in need in the community such as offering transportation, food, and even help with home projects.
The initiative ran from December 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021 where the team members in the office donated a portion of their commission from each closing. The office administrator even joined in and donated a portion of her pay each week!
Not only did Kirk and his team start their own initiative to raise money for NeighbourLink, but they also promoted the organization via social media to further raise awareness, as well as participated in the “Coldest Night of the Year” fundraiser that NeighbourLink hosts in February.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Kirk and associates reached their $2,500 goal, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, for a total donation of $5,000 to NeighbourLink Chatham-Kent.
