Jonathan Lum, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty Home Partners located in Lansing, MI, used his birthday as an opportunity to raise funds for the Allen Neighborhood Center. According to their website, Allen Neighborhood Center is a place-based organization that serves as a hub for neighborhood revitalization and for activities that promote the health and well-being of Lansing’s Eastside community and other stakeholders. They offer programs and resources to help with housing, food, and building community.
Jonathan used the fundraising tool on Facebook to start his birthday fundraiser and by word of mouth, and the power of social media he was able to surpass his original goal.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. Jonathan hoped to raise $2,000 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however he exceeded that goal and instead raised $3,000 for a total donation of $5,000 to Allen Neighborhood Center.
