EXIT Realty Matrix, Brokerage and the Spirit of EXIT Helping Kids Keep Warm This Winter

Cherie Hicks, sales representative along with the team at EXIT Realty Matrix, Brokerage in Embrun, Ontario hosted a Fall Ball for the Snowsuit Fund. The Snowsuit Fund provides children in the Ottawa area, 15 years and younger, with quality snowsuits who may otherwise not be able to afford them.

“Living in the Ottawa area, the Snowsuit Fund was an obvious choice to support for this event and time of year. All children deserve to enjoy the Ottawa winters comfortably and the Snowsuit Fund is providing warmth, comfort, and confidence to those children in need in our direct communities. Our love of family, children, playing outdoors, and helping our community directed us to this charity,” explains Cherie.

The office held a 19+ co-ed baseball tournament on October 23rd in Embrun that was open to agents and all members of the community who wished to join. The Fall Ball consisted of a fun day at the field with multiple games, 50/50 draws, a lottery board, and catch the ace game. People were also invited to donate snowsuits which would be given directly to the Snowsuit Fund along with the proceeds from the tournament. The Snowsuit Fund has built relationships with Canadian Snowsuit companies to purchase suits at a discounted rate, so cash donations stretch even further.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Cherie and the team raised $1,590 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match for a total donation of $3,180 to the Snowsuit Fund.
