EXIT Strives for Excellence in 2025

By Tami Bonnell, Co-Chair, EXIT Realty Corp. International

“I’m going to start with one word.”

The very first year that One Word that Will Change Your Life was written by Jon Gordon, Dan Britton, and Jimmy Page, I gave it to many of the leaders here at EXIT Realty and asked them to pick their one word. The message behind the book is, rather than create multiple goals or resolutions that may not come to fruition, choose one word to be your focus for the year. If you can embrace that word, share it and really live by it, it’s such a simple way to transform your life. We started doing this as an organization, so that every single person that worked for EXIT International, would choose a word meant for them.

We went back and forth on what we wanted our 2025 word to be, and since everyone is striving to be at their very best, that’s literally how we came up with the word “excellence.” We have people in our organization, including executives, where the average time they’ve been with the company is 20 years. That’s unheard of in a real estate company. That’s actually unheard of in most companies, and it tells you how much our people value our company to still be here after that length of time.

Everyone works together like a well-orchestrated team. They instinctively know what the other person is going to do, and so they’re always collaborating and working together. Excellence seemed like the perfect word because everyone is literally striving for just that in their own job and  life, and it’s what we strive for as a company built on human potential. We truly want our people to have an excellent life, a full-bodied life., where they get the most and best out of themselves. Beyond just listing and selling real estate, not just doing their job, but as a person we want them shooting for excellence.

If they can have that in their family life, if they’re helping other people to strive in their communities, and they’re reaching the people that they love, that’s really what we’re all shooting for. So, let’s work together, lifting each other up to that next level throughout 2025.
