Gary Butler and the Spirit of EXIT Empower Youth Through Scholarships in VA

The Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region is a nonprofit organization that essentially makes building a better community easy. The Community Foundation helps manage charitable funds and distribute them as needed through their knowledge of the community and nonprofit sector. One of the funds managed by the organization is the King George High School Sports Hall of Fame Scholarship Fund, a cause Gary Butler, Broker Owner of EXIT Realty Expertise in King George, VA, is passionate about.

“Each year our Hall of Fame awards four $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from King George High School. The scholarships are good for all four years of college for the recipients. The primary fundraiser for our Hall of Fame Scholarship Fund is our annual golf tournament,” Gary explains. The organization’s 11th annual golf tournament was held earlier this year and Gary played a pivotal role in its success by raising  money through soliciting sponsorships.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Gary raised an incredible $9,257 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match for a total donation of $18,514 to The Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region..

“Spirit of EXIT just changed the life of a student in the Rappahannock River region! We appreciate your support of your associates’ philanthropic interests with the opportunity of matching funds,” said Teri McNally, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of the Rappahannock River Region, “Thank you for supporting the academic ambitions of local students.”
