Greener Village in Fredericton Appreciates Carla McGee and the Spirit of EXIT

The 7th Annual Reg McGee Memorial Golf Tournament was held on September 12th, 2021, to support Greener Village in Fredericton, NB. Greener Village, previously known as the Fredericton Food Bank, offers aid to the community through food, clothing, and developmental opportunities.

“Our yearly choice is the Fredericton Food Bank. It was a cause my late father supported and he felt it was so important to give back,” says Carla McGee, sales representative with EXIT Realty Advantage in Fredericton  of why she chose this organization to support with the help of the Spirit of EXIT.

Friends, family, and local businesses participating in Carla’s golf tournament contributed to help those in need in the community by giving donations in honor of Reg McGee to Greener Village. The food bank is able to purchase food items at a discounted rate so a donation of $5,000 can go towards 20,000 loaves of bread or 22,000 cans of soup.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Through her fundraising efforts, Carla hoped to raise $5,000 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, but exceeded her goal and raised $5,645 for a total donation of $10,645 to Greener Village.

“We appreciate the support that EXIT Realty Corp. International shows for the impressive fundraising efforts of their agents. Thank you for the supportive culture you’re creating within your organization. Charities like ours greatly appreciate it,” said Alex Boyd, Executive Director of Greener Village.
