At EXIT Realty, every year we encourage our associates to choose “one word” to guide their focus for the coming year. We as a company also choose one and for 2023, our word is GROWTH.
Because we’re a company founded and built on human potential, growth is built into our DNA. While we certainly care about the numbers, growth as a company involves so much more than that. We believe that by first growing our people from the inside out, the company will also grow. So to that end we’ll be encouraging our people to grow in every facet of their life and providing the tools, atmosphere and financial opportunities to help make that happen.
One of the reasons that Kathy and Troy Dooley, Regional Owners of EXIT Realty of Alabama and Mississippi, were named Region of the Year for EXIT (in an area with a population of greater than seven million) was that they grew in every area of their endeavor during the award period: franchise sales, per-person productivity, agent count, the number of agents taking advantage of the EXIT Formula, acquisitions, the usage in their region of the tools that EXIT provides, and equally important, they grew as leaders. We were able to make this determination in part because we studied the data.
You have data available to you as well to study your areas of strength and opportunity and to establish yourself as the local real estate market expert. Whenever there’s a shift in the economy or real estate market, windows of opportunity are opened for growth. What’s measured gets managed. Studying and analyzing the data is like looking in a mirror so you can see the things you want to work on. Are you measuring where you’re getting your business and doing more of that and less of the activities that waste your time? Are you aware of how much time you spend watching TV or surfing social media rather than pursuing your dreams and meaningfully engaging with the people you love? We grow in the areas we concentrate on and in 2023 as always, EXIT will be concentrating on our people and celebrating your growth.
