Instead of gifts for his birthday, Jonathan Lum, Broker Owner of EXIT Realty Home Partners in Lansing, MI is asking for donation to Allen Neighborhood Center. Allen Neighborhood Center is an organization that serves as a hub for neighborhood revitalization and activities that promote health and wellbeing.
With support from the Spirit of EXIT, “last year we successfully donated $5,000 for the Youth Service Corps at Allen Neighborhood Center to create an outdoor classroom,” explained Jonathan, “For my birthday this year, I’m raising money to improve the Edible Park at Hunter Park. Allen Neighborhood Center cultivates one acre of Hunter Park with plants and 27 fruit trees for all neighbors to harvest and enjoy.” Jonathan promoted this Facebook fundraiser via social media and word of mouth.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Jonathan hoped to raise $3,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however he raised $3,105 for a total donation of $6,105 to Allen Neighborhood Center.
