Spirit of EXIT Helps Make EXIT Realty NFI Charity Golf Tournament for Capstone a Success

By Trudy O’Brien, spokesperson with Capstone Adaptive Learning & Therapy Centers

Since 2008, Capstone Adaptive Learning & Therapy Centers has hosted the Capstone Network Charity Golf Tournament, a premier golfing experience, to raise funds to help nearly 400 children and youth annually with developmental disabilities achieve independence via Capstone’s educational and therapeutic services.

This tournament is always a sell out with 144 players each year and this year was no different. The venue, Scenic Hills Golf Course, hosts this four-person scramble, shotgun start tournament.

This year our charity tournament was called the “EXIT Realty NFI Charity Golf Tournament for Capstone” with EXIT Realty NFI of Pensacola, FL as a major sponsor. Funds were raised through package/hole sponsorships, player/team registrations, tee signs, flag stick signs, special prize drawings and silent auction items.

EXIT Realty NFI Associates greeted players as they arrived at the course, thanking them for participating and handed out goodie bags. EXIT associates also manned a booth on the 3-par hole 8. Players stopped by EXIT’s tent for beverages and snack samples, as well as to participate in the golf cart poker-run.

This tournament allowed women and men from a wide array of businesses and industry to network while enjoying a game of golf. Funds raised from the tournament will improve the lives of children and adults with a spectrum of abilities and disabilities in our community.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. The team at EXIT Realty NFI committed $20,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they exceeded their goal and raised $24,475.09 for a total donation of $44,475.09 to Capstone Adaptive Learning & Therapy Centers.

“Thank you for being a Platinum Sponsor of our annual golf tournament. Our children, students, and their families, as well as Capstone’s staff and board of directors are grateful for the support, hard work, and generosity of EXIT associates,” said Brian Bell, Sr., Secretary/Treasurer of Capstone Adaptive Learning & Therapy Centers.
