Steven Gourley and the Spirit of EXIT Tee Off for Habitat

“This is our 4th year having a golf fundraiser. The first year, we did the traditional one-day tournament. Then the second and third years we had a hybrid tournament, lasting 3 days. This year we focused on two days for the fundraiser,” says Steven Gourley, Broker of Record at EXIT Heritage Real Estate and board President of Ossipee Mountains Habitat for Humanity (OMHfH).

Steven and his team received donations to OMHfH of $25 per round in addition to their regular green fees. They also had sponsorships that included ball sponsors, tee sponsors, hole in one sponsors, and more.

Affordable housing is not readily available in their rural area which is why fundraisers like these are so important. “We just started to build a new home in Freedom, NH, and we have chosen our partner family who will receive the home at cost and have a zero percent mortgage. The funds raised will go directly to build this local family’s home,” Steven tells of the needs the initiative will meet.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Steven and his team hoped to raise $4,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they raised an incredible $11,251.05 for a total donation of $15,251.05 to OMHfH.

“It has been a pleasure to partner with you in the past. EXIT Realty has always been ready to donate or to volunteer to help build affordable housing in NH. Steve Gourley was a great asset and organizer for our 2022 Tee Off for Habitat Golf Fundraiser. He was able to get several sponsors for the fundraiser. Then, he signed up at least 25 of the 65 golf players for the 2-day event. Thanks again for EXIT’s partnership with Habitat to help bring affordable housing to local families,” said Lisa Wilbur, Executive Director of OMHfH.
