The Spirit of EXIT Helps Youth and Seniors in Spokane

A portion of every transaction fee collected by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. The team at EXIT Real Estate Professionals in Spokane, Washington, set aside money from each transaction they closed and chose two local area charities to support. They raised $2,500 for Meals on Wheels and a further $2,500 for Communities In Schools of Spokane County, which EXIT Realty’s Head Office was proud to match, making a total donation to these organizations of $10,000.

Communities In Schools site coordinators work with at-risk students, families, and schools to provide students with the resources they need to stay in school. Services include academic assistance, providing basic needs such clothing, food, hygiene and school supplies, and more.  “Thanks for your continuing support,” said Chuck Teegarden, Executive Director of Communities In Schools of Spokane County. “We will offer services to more than 10,000 students in 58 schools this year!”

According to the organization’s website, Meals on Wheels Spokane serves “over 330 meals daily and more than 110,000 meals each year. The objective of Meals on Wheels Spokane is to provide the proper nutrition to those individuals who cannot meet the need on their own. This service allows individuals to remain in their own homes and reduce premature out of home placement.”

“Here at Meals on Wheels Spokane, our goal is to make sure that no senior in our area ever goes to bed hungry,” said Mollie Dalpae, Executive Director, Meals on Wheels Spokane. “Your generous donation will go a long way to help us end senior hunger in Spokane and beyond in 2019. You have made a real difference in the lives of the seniors we serve.”
