Two of EXIT Realty Corp. International’s top leaders were recognized this week in the ranking of the Power 200, an annual report published by real estate industry trend-watcher, Stefan Swanepoel.
Among the Top 40 Women Executives, Tami Bonnell, Co-Chair, was ranked #8 and Lori Muller, President of the U.S. Division, was ranked #36. Among the most powerful leaders in the residential real estate brokerage industry, Mrs. Bonnell was ranked #39 and Mrs. Muller #168.
“Power is an elusive concept, defined as “the ability or right to control people, companies or the industry.” But power can also exist even when it is not exercised. But we all agree what power is not. It is not a popularity contest. It is not based only on a single criterion such as head count, office count or revenue. And it is never “pay to play,” says the SP200 of its classification methodology. Factors such as “the individual’s personal power and influence outside his or her organization” and “the individual and company’s initiatives, planned or announced that are realistically expected to occur in the foreseeable future” are taken into account.
