Denise Cortez, Associate Broker with EXIT Realty Twin Bridges, Brokerage, in Sarnia, ON, is continuing to pay it forward by donating to Life’s Seasons Care and Support. Life’s Seasons Care and Support offers services to those going through a difficult time in their lives and helps equip them with resources and knowledge to get through those hardships.
“When I needed it most, I wouldn’t have been able to afford counseling if it hadn’t been for someone else’s generous donation. I would like to provide the same for someone else,” said Denise of why she chose to support this charity. She donated a part of her commission from every transaction closed from March to September. A $90 donation is equivalent to 3 counseling sessions. For every transaction Denise closed between those months she donated $90.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. Denise hoped to donate $500 which EXIT’s head office was proud to match but exceeded her goal and donated $1,500 for a total donation of $2,000 to Life’s Seasons Care & Support.
