EXIT Realty Solutions and the Spirit of EXIT Make a Success of Shootout at the Slough

By Daniel Nolan, Broker at EXIT Realty Solutions in Griffith, IN

Being an EXIT managing broker, my biggest passion is to change lives and make an impact on others. This is exactly what Operation Combat Bikesaver (OCB) is doing with our local veterans and we want to contribute and be a part of this change with them. I, along with other EXIT agents, take time to volunteer at OCB and have been privileged to meet these veterans and help make a difference for each one.

We hosted a shootout event at a local gun range instructed by a professional, licensed instructor. We had food vendors and live music with the vendors joining us to raise funds at our event. It was a family friendly shooting competition designed to help OCB battle veteran suicide through camaraderie and a fun filled day with fundraising activities.

As a charity, OCB helps veterans return to civilization. Their programs are designed to always be a safe place for veterans to interact together learning, teaching, building, and bonding stress free surrounded by people that signed that same bottom line. Jason Zaideman, the founder of OCB, has had a 100% success rate of no suicide with every veteran that has been a part of his therapy within the last 6 years.

The fundraiser will allow the charity to retain a larger space to help more veterans in need. It will also help them to purchase more tools needed for their programs.

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. Daniel and his team hoped to raise $5,000, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they raised $5,873.81 for a total donation of $10,873.81 to Operation Combat Bikesaver.

“This shooting competition not only helps to raise funds for Operation Combat Bikesaver, but also helps raise awareness of the program, gives the public a view of military-style shooting under limited time, and increases community engagement. This year, twenty-six (26) shooters came out to compete in nearly rained-out conditions to shoot in up to three (3) disciplines. Three top shooters in each discipline took home a prize, as well as the “Top Shot” for the day. On behalf of all of us here at Operation Combat Bikesaver, we thank you. No one gets left behind,” said Jason Zaideman, CEO and US Army Engineer, Operation Combat Bikesaver.
