It was on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 that our fundraiser took place for the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank. It was with one goal in mind that the partners of Bedard Real Estate Team arrived early (8 am) at FreshCo. to raise $3,000 in donations, pledging to triple the amount.
The generosity was incredible and by 1:15 pm we had surpassed our $3,000 goal as well as collected many non-perishable items. People in our community could hardly believe that their $5 contribution turned into $15 and some even quadrupled their initial donation after speaking with us. It’s an understatement to recognize the immense generosity and pride we all felt while packing people’s groceries and explaining the impact of our involvement. We were blessed with the feeling of truly making a difference in our community.
The president of the food bank, Ms. Jeanne Charlebois, with tears in her eyes, told us that the donations collected in one day would help them cover approximately three months of expenses for their organization. People were more than impressed by our initiative that upon seeing our publications on social networks, several even participated by sending us bank transfers because they couldn’t come in person.
It is with full hearts that we were proud to donate, with the contribution of the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program ($3,000), the Bedard Real Estate Team contribution ($3,000), and money raised during the event ($3,286.20), the sum of $9,286.20 to the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank. We are proud to be part of the big EXIT Realty Family, which thanks to their charitable program, Spirit of EXIT, we can offer hope and spread positivity in our communities.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds.
