For the tenth consecutive year, Joseph Piernas, Broker/Owner of EXIT Extra Mile Realty in Long Beach, Mississippi, hosted the highly anticipated annual golf tournament benefiting the Mississippi Sickle Cell Foundation. Held at the scenic Bridges Golf Club in Bay St. Louis, the event brought together more than 50 golfers for a day of camaraderie, competition, and community support all in the name of a worthy cause.
The Mississippi Sickle Cell Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals living with sickle cell disease through research, advocacy, education, and awareness.
A highlight of the day came when Natasha Roberts, a representative of the Foundation, attended the tournament alongside her daughter. She shared her personal and inspiring journey of overcoming sickle cell disease, touching the hearts of attendees and reminding everyone of the life-changing importance of the cause.
“The success of this tournament year after year reflects the dedication of our team, our community, and our shared commitment to making a difference,” said Joseph, “We’re honored to continue supporting the Mississippi Sickle Cell Foundation and the incredible work they do.”
With perfect weather on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and enthusiastic participation, the 2025 tournament was a resounding success, celebrating a decade of giving back and setting the stage for even greater impact in the years to come.
Thanks to the generous support of participants and sponsors, Joseph and his team raised $6,000 and with the additional $3,000 contributed from the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Fund the total donation came to $9,000 for the Mississippi Sickle Cell Foundation.
