EXIT Realty PEI Supports Make-A-Wish® PEI with Help from Spirit of EXIT

“I have been a supporter of the Make-A-Wish® foundation for several years. They put on a fundraising golf tournament that provides wishes for children here on our island called the Bragger’s Cup,” tells James Beaton, sales representative with EXIT Realty PEI in Charlottetown, PE. Make-A-Wish PEI helps grant wishes to island children in need of support due to life threatening illnesses or circumstances.

James and the team at EXIT Realty PEI provided various items that were auctioned off in an online fundraising event for Make-A-Wish, including but not limited to, artwork, baked goods, and even sports memorabilia. James then created content for social media to promote the auction and even reached a local CBC news program to highlight the cause on their nightly network programming.

“I’m happy to have been able to help an amazing organization like Make-A-Wish. It has been an amazing experience, working with folks like Robin, Rob, and Alex and all the friends at Make-A-Wish PEI. This organization helps not only the brave children facing critical illnesses by granting wishes, but it goes above and beyond that. It’s also helping assure that child and child’s family, friends, neighbours, community, and entire support system know we are there for them,” said James.  “I truly look forward to helping Make-A-Wish PEI in the future with monetary contributions but also create exposure to them and their cause through my social media platforms. Thank you to all those who donated or contributed to our fundraiser. We exceeded our goals and are humbled by the support of Islanders supporting fellow Islanders.”

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. James hoped to raise $1,500, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, however they exceeded their goal and raised $2,500, for a total donation of $4,000 to Make-A-Wish® PEI.

“On behalf of our courageous wish children and their families, thank you for your generous support of Make-A-Wish®. Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we were able to grant nearly 1,000 wishes across Canada last year,” says Alex Johnson, Development Officer.
