The Fall Fashion Show and Silent Auction, organized to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes – Haliburton, proved to be an outstanding success. We had 8 well-known and beloved stores who showcased their creativity and style, adding to the event’s vibrant atmosphere. Their contributions were nothing short of fantastic. Also, we had some of the matches from Big Brothers Big Sisters modeling in the fashion show.
In addition to the fashion show, the silent auction featured an array of items generously donated by local businesses. Their support was instrumental in making the event truly special. What also made this event exceptional was the overwhelming support from the community. People came together, showed their generosity, and made meaningful contributions.
The funds raised will help address the struggles that many of our youth face: society barriers, mental health issues, family violence, identity issues and poor living conditions. This will help Big Brothers Big Sisters promote and monitor supportive friendships for children who will benefit from relationships with caring mentors.
A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Charitable Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pool of funds. The team at EXIT Realty Sunset, Brokerage hoped to raise $2,500, which EXIT’s head office was proud to match, but through their collective efforts, they were able to raise $3158.50 for a total donation of $5,658.50. This substantial sum will greatly benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton and help them continue their valuable work in the community.
