Some of the most thunderous applause at EXIT Realty Corp. International’s Annual Convention occurs when EXIT Associates take the stage to share their personal struggles and triumphs. Among them this year will be Robert Farrell, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty Homeward Bound in Vestal New York.
Raised in a real estate home, 30 out of 33 years of Robert’s life were spent listening to real estate jargon. Not only did his family’s life revolve around Dad, John Farrell’s, real estate schedule, his relationship with him did as well. Among all his childhood activities growing up, the most quality time with his father was spent conducting open houses, during office time, going to showings etc. Robert’s relationship never suffered by having a full-time REALTOR as a father; it flourished. If a three-time “EXIT Iron Man” award winner like John can enjoy his family and a thriving real estate business, why can’t we all?
In November of 2001, while working in Philadelphia during university, there was an accident. It was bad. After 45 minutes spent with his hand stuck in a machine, Robert was airlifted to UPENN Hospital for surgery. His family drove to be by his side. During the middle of the night, his father began to tell him about the EXIT system, and how he just met Tami Bonnell for the first time. The conversation that night in the hospital changed his family’s life because of a question Robert asked his father: “Is this system better for the agent and their family?” A light bulb seemed to go off. John Farrell bought the Upstate NY Region, a brokerage, and won EXIT Realty’s coveted Tri-Real-A-Thon Award three times. Robert got his real estate license in 2004 and is now the Broker of the franchise, an agent who is creeping up to 500 sides in 10 years, and now a new father. Miraculously, his hand has regained 85% functionality. Robert can honestly say that EXIT Realty changed their lives forever.
EXIT Associates can register for Convention in the Resource Center.
