Three more top-tier speakers have been announced for EXIT Realty’s 2016 Annual Convention this fall to be held at Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in The Bahamas. Tami Bonnell, Bob McKinnon and Troy Dooley represent some of the company’s finest leaders and most engaging speakers.
When Tami Bonnell bought the Regional rights to EXIT Realty New England in 1999, she “wrote a check with a lot of zeros and received a faxed copy of a logo” and immediately wondered what she’d gotten herself into. EXIT Realty was in its infancy then and Bonnell was among the company’s pioneers. She built and eventually sold the Region, became President of the U.S. Organization then took the reins as the company’s Chief Executive Officer in 2012.
This October during the EXIT Realty Corp. International Convention where the company’s 20th anniversary will be celebrated, Bonnell will take the stage to reflect on where we’ve been and where we’re going; from a company with a faxed copy of a logo to one where satellites deliver property information to the palm of a buyer’s hand.
When Bob McKinnon took the main stage at the 2004 EXIT Realty Corp. International Convention in Dallas, Texas, he spoke the now-iconic words, “This company is up to something big.” At the time, McKinnon was a well-respected industry veteran, an outsider who had coached a few EXIT associates but who knew enough about the company’s revolutionary business model to know that we were bringing a significant and much-needed change to the real estate industry.
This year, McKinnon will reflect on how an upstart company a mere 20 years ago has grown to become a major player in the North American real estate landscape.
At the age of 27, Troy Dooley, Regional Owner of EXIT Realty of Mississippi, rose to the level of Director with Walmart Stores, Inc., leading more than 5,500 people, responsible for over a billion dollars in sales. He worked directly with some of the retail giant’s original executives including Sam Walton. Years later, while listening to EXIT Realty’s Founder and Chairman, Steve Morris, speak at an EXIT Convention, Morris’ passion for people and his vision for the company reminded Dooley of his early mentor and leader, Mr. Sam. Then and there, Dooley knew he wanted to be a part of EXIT Realty. During the same Convention, CEO, Tami Bonnell painted the picture of EXIT Realty’s business model and it became increasing apparent to Dooley that EXIT would revolutionize the real estate industry just as Walmart has revolutionized the retail industry.
Under Mr. Sam’s guidance and mentorship, Dooley developed his amazing perspective on leadership which he will share on the big stage this October.
